My early childhood drawings were created atop the scrap paper diagrams given to me by my engineer father. I naturally integrated the concept of the diagram with a strong interest in the technical methods and iconography of 16th century European classical realism. My work depicts clouds of schematic marks and symbols surrounding divine beings, ultimately forming what I like to call a narrative diagram. The goal of my work is to glorify, through stories, our often abstract systems of analyzing and understanding the world.
