Jessica Caldas was born in Jacksonville, Florida but truly considers Atlanta, Georgia her home and spent most of her childhood drawing and spinning stories with her twin sister. She found a new home in Athens, Georgia while studying Printmaking and Japanese Language & Literature at the University of Georgia where she spent the next 5 years excepting her year abroad in Tokyo.
Jessica returned to Atlanta in 2011 to rediscover the city as an adult. Currently, she is working at the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer's Foundation. She prints at the Atlanta Printmaker's Studio where she finished a residency in Spring 2011 and is lucky enough to be a current emerging artist resident through MINT’s Leap Year Residency.
Jessica is not very good with words but is very fond of, and considers herself fairly skilled at colors.
