Neoteny: Retention of juvenile characteristics in adult specimens of a species.
"I began this work as a child. I've carried these old bones with me for years resurrecting their image again and again. I played alone as a child with paints and pencils, drawing. I did it again yesterday, and everyday I can remember since childhood. Drawing has been my most effective means of communication. This habit has stretched itself over my life connecting one day to the next. As a child it was my mode of play. Continuing to draw as an adult connects me with the world. In some sense this is the most mature thing I have ever done." ~ Sam Parker
